GREAT OLD ONES YIBB-TSTLL by DaiKaiju-Defender GREAT OLD ONES YIBB-TSTLL by DaiKaiju-Defender
THE WATCHER IN THE GLADE
Yibb-Tstll

Yibb-Tstll is an obscure god, said to watch at the center of all time as the universe resolves. Because of this insight, only YOG-SOTHOTH is said to be wiser. Its blood THE BLACK, is a weaponwhich takes the form of black snowflakes that stick to and smother a victim. Its touch causes a intant change in the person affected-this change is usually fatal but occasionally brings some benefit.

Yibb-Tstll is Sometimes described as an immobile, dark, tentacled entity with a pulpy alien head, detached eyes, and large bat wings. Yibb-Tstll is mentionned once in the Necronomicon, in the story "Rising with Surtsey" a man who enters the warp and is driven mad proclaims: "....I wanted to bound, to float in my madness through eldritch depths of on hallowed black blood. I wanted to cling to the writhing breasts of Yibb-Tstll.Insane...."

In the story "The Oakdeene Horror" Brian Lumley describes the night warden, thanks to a spell cast by one of the -more insane- inmates, a spell from the accursed book "Cthaat Aquadingen", as in his dream walking through a thick jungle. He finally reaches a clearing of rotted dead soil and in the middle is this 20' tall figure in a green robe and hood. The figure is rotating endlessly and even so, the cloak jumps and shakes with some strange life.

In "Hero of dreams" also by Brian Lumley, a statue of Yibb-Tstll with 3 huge emeralds for eyes comes to fleshy life and the emeralds become huge eyeballs constantly moving around across the surgace of its rotted black head.

I've forgotten much of that book "Hero of Dreams" with such nastiness as the trouble with getting through the force-fields surrounding Celephais, erected by king Kuranes to shield the city from the trouble without Also the Fly-the-Light that has destroyed the city of Dylath-Leen, as well as the Men of Leng ! They also must deal with the peril of a certain city sighted by the passengers on the White ship in Lovecraft's earliest mythos yarn set in the dream world "The White Ship".

Yibb-Tstll is also encountered and grappled with in "The Oakdeene Horror" and an avatar appears in "Hero of Dreams".
